Most packaging and paper can be collected in your residential recycling program. Search for material using the Recyclepedia, or scroll down to view a summary of accepted materials.

    • Foam packaging i.e. Styrofoam
    • Black plastics (any number)
    • Toys
    • Plastic plant pots
    • Plastic plates and cutlery
    • Plastic film i.e. plastic bags, cellophane wrap, kitchen stretch wrap, cereal bags, etc.
    • Plastics labelled biodegradable or compostable
    • Zipper lock pouches for frozen foods
    • Potato chip bags
    • Rice bags
    • Mesh bags for avocados, onions, citrus fruit
  • Always confirm with your municipality if you have questions about the materials that are accepted in your residential recycling program.
