Elementary schools from across Canada are challenged to collect as many plastic bags as they can for recycling from April 18 – 22. Top schools in each province and territory that collect the most plastic bags for recycling are eligible to win cash prizes that can be used for schools’ environmental initiatives!

- Register your school at www.PlasticBagGrab.com to participate. Once registered you will be asked to select your local Walmart location for  drop-off and a preferred time.
- Students collect as many carry out plastic shopping bags as they can and bring them to school throughout Earth Week 2016: Monday, April 18 – Friday, April 22.
- Count all the bags your school has collected and take a fun picture for your final submission.
- Using your registration information, submit your results, which includes a photo of your collected plastic bags, no later than Friday, April 29.
- Bring your plastic bags to your local Walmart’s customer service area for recycling and an associate will be happy to help you: Sunday, April 24 – Friday, April 29 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- All bags collected will be processed and used to make new products!
